COMPANY HISTORY
In 1971, the business was started by Gerry Glebatsas and Vic Williams
in a small factory in Huntingdale, Victoria. As the business expanded,
they built a new factory in Clayton South, which has now
grown to incorporate two more factories on the same site.
On the passing of Gerry Glebatsas in the business’ early days, Vic’s
wife, Anne, joined the business and together along with their daughters
Jacqueline and Chrisoula, G. & W. Metal Spinners (Vic.) Pty. Ltd
has been operating for over 35 years.
In the early days, traditional hand operated spinning
lathes that have been part of the craft for centuries were used. With
the introduction of PNC automatic metal spinning lathes brought in from Europe, G. & W. Metal Spinners (Vic.) Pty. Ltd.,
have become a very hi-tech business. |
